STF Filters
At STF we are a global reference in filtration and water treatment for the irrigation, industrial and municipal sectors, specialized in the design and manufacture of filtration systems and metallurgical solutions for water infrastructure.
Our origin dates back to 1935 and, since 2017 we are part of the water division of MatHolding, a group specialized in solutions and technology for the sustainable and efficient management of agriculture and water. Our STF and VICAN brands are synonymous with quality and commitment to the customer, the sector in which it operates and its environment, and being part of the MatHolding Group and its MatWay strengthens our capacity for innovation for the responsible and efficient management of water resources.
STF is headquartered in Monzón, Huesca (Spain) with a production plant of 60,000 m², including nine industrial buildings with 15,000 m² built and a highly qualified team. We have production centers in China, the United States and the Middle East. To extend our global reach, Mat Holding acquired the assets of Yamit Filtration and Water Treatment, and SI Irrigation System in 2024.
Our expertise, technology and know-how reach markets in more than 100 countries, especially in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, the United States and Australia, adapting to the specific needs of each customer and type of water: sea, drinking, waste and irrigation water.

1935
The Blacksmith Shop in Monzón
Vicente Canales, a blacksmith shop that would evolve into a water filtration and infrastructure company.
1991
Creation of the VICAN Brand
The VICAN brand is created to manufacture sand and screen filters.
2002
Creation of the STF Brand
The STF brand is created, and the first automatic screen filters are designed.
2004
Export
STF export begins.
2005
Design of Automatic Screen Filters
The hydraulic screen filter line is launched.
2006
Development of Different Filter Families
The electric and hydraulic screen filter lines are expanded.
2017
We Become Part of the Mat Holding Group
STF-VICAN becomes part of the MAT Holding group.
2018
Redesign of Disc Filters
The disc filter families are redesigned.
2021
Design of Smart Filters
Smart filters with mobile APPs are designed.

Internationalization
Work is underway to boost the internationalization of STF with the acquisition of different companies around the world.
